Things are looking up, even in January! I see green on the catmint! Of course it's in a warm spot and very protected.

The first crocus bloomed this morning!! It's always the first flower in the Spring.

Red maples are red with their many early blooms, soon to be many whirlybirds. I've got a couple of them that are straight and stout, and I've had thoughts of milling a couple of guitars and baseball bats from one.

I wore shorts and a T-shirt working in the garden yesterday.

Robins made their debut a few days ago. Digging in garden I am finding worms, so the ground is thawed!

I'm in awe of the show the forsythia are putting on as it's been the best one in years! Daffodils are blooming too and are equally impressive.

Here the daffodils and hyacinths have broken ground this week. But also loads of robins came around in early March this year.

We had Robins on the yard today, male Cardinals are looking brilliant, and the Tom turkeys…
Well, I’m not sure what those two Tom turkeys are doing, but I think it Spring related.🤭

Had a couple windows open for a short time today. I heard the male cardinal mating calls! Spring is just around the corner. Haven't seen robins yet.
