"A sight to behold."
I guess so. Thanks for sharing!

I noticed the birds are cleaning up all the seed on the ground from winter spilling. I also noticed nightcrawler holes on top of the ground, which means the robins are finding them!

Spring 2020 canβt be far away. When cleaning in the flower bed a few days ago, I found that the clematis is budding. It is on the south side of the barn and against the foundation. And the sedum is pushing up little rosettes.

No sign of any bulb growth here. I do hope somebody didn't have them for lunch.

Getting bulby and cormy here, too --- irises and red-hot-pokers are jumping up nicely.

Robins, ya never know about them. Some winters I have had robins here all winter.
My point is: Seeing a robin is not necessarily a sign of Spring.

Us too, James, In fact most winters robins winter-over here. Lots of things waking up- tulip, daffodils, day lilies, bee balm and sedum autumn joy are up. Ground covers are starting to green up veronica speedwell, snow in summer, sweet woodruff, various succulents, first tiny leaf buds on roses. Will clean up another perennial bed today and see what's stirring there.

I'm hesitating to clean up too much, it could get pretty cold again. I never uncover hibiscus until April. I'm anxious to see if my 2 new ones survived the winter, one of them I started from seed 2 years ago.
