Got just over an inch of rain, in the several brief storms we had, with just one TS, with some lightning, but no more rain after midnight. More later today, but clearing tomorrow, with a slightly below average temp, then down in the 70s for a few days, and lows in the 50s, and they're predicting low humidity, to go with it.

Thunderstorm last night so decided to work outside in the late afternoon/early evening when things were dried out from the beautiful day. Almost ready to start out when it started pouring, even thought the sky was light. Guess there's tomorrow. The bright side is my daughter's plane back to Florida was cancelled and she rescheduled for tomorrow night, so I get to spend more time with her. Good she can do her work remotely.

We had a few sprinkles when we left this morning and drove through an absolute downpour on the way to hubby's appointment in the next county. I expected a full water tub when we came back home but the bottom was barely wet. According to the rain gauge we received 1/16".

Gotta tell the weather to move over a bit. Needs to improve its aim.

I got little of that predicted rain yesterday, too, though that lower humidity, and lower temp they predicted, did come about overnight, and it was down to 62° at some point, and only up to 67°, and 49% humidity by 10 am! Even colder predicted for a few more days, before the temps start going up, with the last 2 days in the 10 day back to 90°.

We're emerging from a very hot, sometimes record breaking, 2-3 weeks. We're only mid 90's with a low of 68 tonight. Can't even remember when. The Almanac says for my area that the winter temperatures are expected to be normal, with a lower than normal precipitation.

Mild weather for August, though things will heat up this weekend with high dew points.

Temp this morning was 62. Will slowly go up through the week. A taste of September in August.

Me either! We have been swinging from abnormal lows to abnormal highs. Weird August. Weird July and for that matter weird June and May.

It's still 69° here, at 11:50 am, after it got down to 55°, and only supposed to get up to 74° all over this area today. Unbelievable for this time of year. Still not out of the woods yet - in last summer, which was mild, we had more 90+ days in September than in the other months: 12.
