hang on all, after a short heat wave we are having beutiful weather. Hope it will be coming your way soon. high 70s/low 80s with a wee bit of chill in the breeze. Into the 60's at night so a nice snuggle under covers. Hard not to keep on gardening out there but all chores are done and it is a work day

Well, I did get some rain, but only enough to add more humidity to the air! .04" total, and I was getting ready to go out, because I saw the leaves moving some...turns out, whatever blew the rain in was causing this! Now, it's 94% humidity, and everything is wet, so I wouldn't touch them, even if I did go out in this!
I have more to do inside...

Our heat wave has been downgraded this week. No 90's until next weekend. Wednesday was to be 100+, that's now 89 with 60% rain. Need the rain! I'll be watering thoroughly tonight.

So the heat has been stifling...when the babies are here it’s too hot to be on the deck so I asked DH to-pick up a pop up canopy that was on sale. He comes back w a 12 x 12’ one and I sigh...we put it up about 6 am and I was pleasantly surprised to find that just that simple thing reduced the temperature in the house by 20o. !! The only down side is taking it down when high winds are expected but it’s Simple. I can leave the slider open now rather than closing the shades and sunblock curtains.

We just had a brief shower…not enough rain to clean the bird poop off the deck furniture.

The humidity is unbearable out there. Came in to watch the weather report. Showers expected this afternoon. You can feel it in the air.

Cloudy all morning with storms all around us. We not nothing. Near Dad's there were severe storms, 30 miles east of us, the sky was black in that direction. Across town less than a mile from us there was a huge downpour! Now it's hotter than Hades and humid. Glad I watered the garden yesterday morning. Cool front coming, 60 tonight.

The big storms missed us too. It got dark and started to thunder and it rained lightly for about 5 minutes maybe and that was that.

Same here... dark skies with thunder but not a drop of rain. It cooled things off, though, by about 10 degrees.Humidity is high though- don't laugh- 59%.

We experienced heavy rain for about an hour; it was streaming down the windows. I haven't seen that kind of heavy rain in a long time. And what a relief - we really needed that.
Stats show we got 1.94" yesterday, in just a short time. The grass is already beginning to be greener again.

We got another 1.5 inches of rain during the night. It came down so hard it woke us up. Don't know how long it lasted. After listening for a while and reveling, I plugged my ears and went back to sleep.
It truly is an odd year- drought further east and floods on the desert.
