omg.... 2 hours ago we had another fierce downpour that gave us 1.6 inches of rain in about 35 minutes. Added to the 7/10 we got earlier , the gauge said we have gotten 2.3 inches since late this afternoon. And it is still raining steadily! Cant wait to see what the gauge says in the AM!

We're in a flood watch through Friday with expected accumulation of 2-4". While we're in a high enough elevation that flooding usually doesn't faze us, I do feel for those in areas prone to flooding.

ummmm, aren't you in a desert Yes!! and have been in a serious extreme drought for several years. Our average precipitation for a year is 12-13 inches. Our total precipitation for 2021 was around 4 inches. We have gotten 8 inches since June 9! after my last post we got another 3/10 inch from the steady slow rain that continued for a couple of hours . Grand total yesterday was 2.6 inches.

1 5/8" of rain overnight. Everything I store water in is full and/or overflowing. I do have a small gulley running through the main garden path now and that's never happened since building the garden in 2020.

A front came through around 9:00 to 9:30 pm, and I got a heavy TS, but it was brief, and I only got .38".

binnylou, 101* Wednesday here, and that's air temp. Not factoring in heat index. I'll be watering thoroughly Tuesday, and shading the hydrangea again for the week.

An EF2 tornado touched down about 30 miles from here yesterday, damaged a barn, no injuries. Our tornadoes are usually small and quick but still nothing to take lightly.
