Our rainfall measured at 2.1 inches. Hubby says the grass is getting green again…time to start mowing. Thankful this moisture didn’t arrive as snow.

We are finally getting some rain here. The weather lady was showing the rainfall amounts in the tri-state area, and some had basically none, and mine was just over an inch - rainfall has been spotty, when fronts come through. Saturday it barely rained - enough to wet everything, and keep me in after 11 am, but it only amounted to .04 inches, and that's typical for this month. Today it is supposed to get above a record high for the date, which is 76°, before that front comes through, and it looks like it's not going to miss anyone! But, we know how that changes!

Doing my rain chant in the hopes the current AR will dip south enough for measurable rain.

We did get the record high today, by 2° - 78°. Some of that rain is coming this way! Had a brief thunderstorm, with some heavy rain earlier, but much more coming later. 2.5" forecast for my area, but more in some of the other areas, up to 5" down at the shore. This is after most of those times this month that I barely got rain, even when cold fronts came through.

That earlier TS that came through only dropped .07",but around midnight, I was getting ready to go upstairs, and I heard something that sounded like a fan in the kitchen. Turned out to be rain, and it was already up to .47", and when I came back down to get something I thought was up there, it had almost doubled! Definitely coming down hard, as predicted.

Here's the total from our current weather event, still raining, wish I could share it with those who need more rain.

Up to 1.49", with what came down overnight, plus the small amount before. More later, though I really won't be working out there in this lull. Temp is 64° - about average, instead of the record high yesterday!

Looks like the California storm is blowing our way. Winds are fierce right now, leaves are falling-some trees are now stripped-, sky is gray. We'll see what the day brings....

The rain is done and the sun is out, grand total is about 5.25" and the backyard is a swamp. I'm going to row out to the garden later and see if there is anything to harvest.

Only got about a quarter of an inch Tuesday and Wednesday morning; while originally, that storm from up north was supposed to dump a lot more in this area, it sort of fizzled out, and we got mostly wind. Monday, and late Sunday night I got 1.49", and highs in the mid 60s - just over average, and lows have been in the 50s.
When I went outside briefly, I was glad I had weighted a bunch of things down, before this wind came! There were things from other yards blowing all over, and it wasn't even trash day!
