2 full inches of rain Sun/Mon. The week ahead is predicted to be sunny with high temps between high 60s, and high 70s. Night temps, low 50s. Lookin' good for working outside, and generally pleasant living.

Thirty-four degrees this morning, I was expecting maybe thirty-eight for the low. They used the "flurries" word this morning when talking about next week's weather. More rain tomorrow, I guess the 5.25" wasn't enough.

Another all day rain here. The farmers are not liking this at all. At least beans are all combined, corn can be picked when a little wet, but the mud in the fields is an issue! Forecast to go to cooler temps next week, some 20's at night.

centralilrookie, still raining at your place? Hang on, I think this Iowa rain might be headed your way. This latest round started yesterday while I was at outpatient…it’s a nice gentle rain with occasional heavy rain mixed in. Farmers will just have to complain. Most of the fields in this area have been harvested, but I did notice two large fields of corn still standing. Both fields are located in river bottom area, so that ground won’t dry out so fast. I need to grab a rain hat and jacket to go out to check the rain gauge.

Crickey! It's 89*F, and it's not yet 2pm. Sunny with not even a wisp of a cloud in the sky.

It started raining late Wednesday night and it’s still raining now. It’s not supposed to end until 9 o’clock tonight. We are with in a couple of inches of the record for the month of October.

Temperature is actually rising, nearing midnight - up to 60° now, but it's supposed to level off. Supposed to get to 67° tomorrow. It rained 1.24° here today - more in some areas, less in others, as it was spotty, but the wind was blowing wicked! Sustained winds over 20 mph much of the day, with gusts over 40. Already dropped considerably. Next week lows getting down in the low 40s for the first time this season, and one forecast has a 38° for next Thursday. So I have to get those plants inside for good!

I saw the warnings for high tides, etc on the East coast! Everyone there stay safe! Yeah, in my area we've got the usual flooding in the usual areas with the usual road closures. Nothing huge, nothing we haven't seen before.

Mumsey Not far from me there was some major flooding, but not from rain - it's the tidal flooding! There were major highways, where flooding is normal, where the water was like a river! One newscast stated that the tide on the Delaware river was going to be higher than it has been since '92! Fortunately, that doesn't affect me. It's already 64° here, and very sunny - hard for the eyes to adjust after all these clouds! . Next week, I see low 40s and one 38° night, so I need to get all of my plants inside, for sure.

It's about average high today - 61° - but dropping quickly, with highs only in the low 50s all week, all the way down to 49°, for Friday. And lows in the 30s starting Tuesday night, so I think my peppers are done! And my plants will be coming in today and tomorrow.

We were to have a chance of seeing the northern lights this past weekend but cloudy skies and rain arrived. We were disappointed, also.
