We had about 3/4 of an inch yesterday and it’s raining this morning. Enough of the wet stuff for a couple of weeks

Yikes! I'm not sure I would even leave my air conditioned car for a quick photo op. That's just too darn hot.

Checked the rain gauge yesterday afternoon, had 2 1/4 inches since Saturday, I’m getting gardener depression. Supposed to be dry today so I’ll be mowing this afternoon.

We've received 3" of rain since we got home last evening. My parents who live 15 miles away got 1/2" total. I'm not complaining as I'd been using the hose to water the last few days.

The Colorado River is tapped out.
The river's entirety, from its headwaters in Rocky Mountain National Park to the U.S.-Mexico border, experienced its driest 12-month period on record from May 2020 to April 2021.

After the last couple of days' rain, ol' Sol is out in full force...think of a sauna with a massive heat lamp. 90's with thick humidity.

It's up to 87°, HI of 94° now, due to the extreme humidity. Supposed to get to 94°, with one more day in the 90s, before it stays in the 80s. Every day there is chance of rain, but it's spotty.

Temp dropped from 94° to 79°, and I got .20" of rain in about 15 minutes. It stopped, but more is scheduled for later, even harder. UPDATE - it's definitely harder now, and closer! If anyone was asleep, they aren't any longer!
At nearly 1 am, it is up to 1.71", and still raining.

July is definitely here. We are entering the season of "not a leaf moving". No breeze whatsoever yesterday. Feels much hotter.

Another inch and a quarter last night along w thunderstorms..flash flooding warnings. Lost several teenagers who tried to swim in the river w whitecaps. I believe my garden is a wash this year. I haven’t been able to get down there in 2 weeks w the heavy storms. The hill on the lawn is too dangerous to use the tractor and I’m not trying to walk it. Hubby warned me against it. Going to have to wait and see how well God took care of it 😁
