The rain total for yesterday and today finished at 1.95" overnight. Some bad wind, too - didn't damage any plants, i t seems, but some of the pepper's stakes broke off, and they were leaning. I fixed those, and any tomatoes that were sort of going the wrong way. Today seems the first nice day for a while, with lower humidity and only forecast for 84°. And the 7 day forecast only had one day in the 90s, but I'll believe that when it happens.

It was only 83˚ here yesterday, but felt much warmer. Humid with no breeze to speak of.

Rain, rain, rain! Poured here yesterday but thankfully no wind. And today it continues but there is hope for clearing later....already humid. I'll believe it when I see it.

It was cooler again today, but the humidity was not good, and there was no breeze, so I didn't do a lot, before going to Aldi's, at 9 am. The temperature has gone up, but after the sun came out some, the humidity lifted some. Still, I'll wait until the shade gets to the back much later, to work back there.

It started raining about when they said it would - 3 pm - but I think it stopped already. In just a little over 10 minutes it rained .22". There was thunder for about 30 minutes before, and it was black north of here, but only that little part nipped my area. I have a feeling they got some flooding up there! I'm still hearing thunder, and seeing lights flickering, and it's still dark up there.
Update: the second line of TSs came through about 4:15, and it was gone in about 15 minutes. Rain total up to .67" now.

Started pouring just now. Seems like it came out of nowhere.

The three H's --- hot, humid, and hazy ---- typical dog-days of summer, plus smoke from the northwestern wildfires. Pretty stifling out there.

This week was pretty good, with a couple of cool days/nights and low dew point. Next week looks to be butt ugly - typical summer 'round here.

It's currently thundering and lightening out there, as it has for the past several late afternoons/evenings, but no measurable precipitation to come out of it then or now.

Currently 87* headed for 91*. I worked at pulling weeds from around the foundation of the house this morning. I wore my gardening hat, but forgot the sweatband. It’s a sweatband kind of day…I didn’t last long. I told those weeds that I’d be back this evening.

It was 92° a while ago when I was out, but it was actually a little less humid than at noon. I still came in fairly quickly! Later, I'll do more, like I usually do, and take a shower to wash everything off!

It was supposed to rain here today, but it went north and south again! I got .08", and little wind. But just N of Philly, a tornado went through, and did major damage to a car dealership, and some mobile homes. And down south of here, there was some major rainfall. The radar at noon made it look like it was coming right through here! And .07" of that was actually around 5 am, when another line came through - it dropped an inch just 3 miles south of here, where it woke a friend up at that time! Crazy weather...

We are under an air quality alert because of northwesterly winds bringing smoke from fires in Canada and the western states. Planning to stay inside…hope hubby pays attention.
Eyes feel irritated…I thought it was from the drops the eye doc put in my eyes yesterday, but it’s either sweat dripping into my eyes or smoke or a mix of the two. The alert is until about 4 pm tomorrow.

Crazy-hot and humid as it can be. A welcome break due next week... Showers to to east of me, storms to my west, here I am, stuck in the middle with no rain.
