Dang, I am trying to keep a low profile this time around. I really do have another life besides chatting on here, how did I get to 500? I could very well be at 10,000 by now but I am trying to refrain from being too chatty. I LOVE this stuff, but, lordy, if I type a comment about everything, on all these threads I love to read............. you guys will start puking and run away............. Did you guys know that the word puke is not universal? I had to demonstrate the meaning the other day at work. They stepped back.

My garlic is usually ready the last two weeks of June here also.
And my sheep like to be petted by me (or to be more accurate - they like to have their ears and chests scratched). If you are not me or my husband, they want nothing to do with you!! Mostly, they like to be fed.

Lets see....... when you are on Photobucket open your picture and off to the right you will see IMG next to a box. point in the box and click. the url is copied , then you just need to come over to your reply window and hit ctrl V (or right click and paste) which pastes the copied url into the reply and when someone opens your reply the software fetches the picture from the server and displays it. It does not take up space on the board.

I have a nice digital camera SLR, and also a good cell phone camera. Both make large files which are nice if you are going for prints, however you do not need those large files for display on forums. In fact they are a pain, takes a long time to upload them or download them, and storage space is needed....... So I always re-size my pictures and save them with a new name in an upload folder then I have pics for use on forums. I will upload them to Photobucket. Somewhere around 800 to 1200 pixels is wide enough for forum use. Paint is a program that comes with Windows and it can re-size your photos. Perhaps you have other photo editors? There are a bunch out there.

Lisaann - I read this quick article on growing garlic and by MG's standards, I guess I don't know how to do it right'! Someone should set them straight on how to really grow good garlic. But since I don't support MG, I won't take the time. Thanks for sharing the article.

Perhaps you have other photo editors? There are a bunch out there. You can set up Photobucket to automatically upload your photos to Forum friendly size. In Photobucket click on the "head" at the top of the page beside the "cart". Choose settings and then albumsScroll down and click on customize upload options You can choose the size of 640 x 480 and then click save. Now all of your photos will automatically upload to Photobucket at this size.

Our garlic was planted at the end of October and took off very well this spring. I think I planted about 70 - 75 cloves and they are right at 30" tall today. I still have some frozen garlic from last year but love to let the softnecks cure and braid them. DW makes me hang them by the refrigerator out of site. lol

TomatoZ,
I just read on another thread that you harvested 10 pounds of scapes? Woo Hoo!
I'm asking for a pic from you to show others.
I have not seen one scape. Nothing is dying back here at all yet. Maybe I am just extremely late on scaping? I just don't know at this point.

Noticed all my garlic had scapes the other day. They are really long. I went out and cut them off yesterday, will save for stir fry and sauteed veggies. Will probably find more, I usually miss some. Garlic here is ready to harvest mid to late July.
