For almost twenty years, I’ve been using the plastic ten hole grow pouches for flowers. The only flowers I’ve grown in those pouches are impatiens. They always grow well in these pouches and put on a good show of color. I hang them on the north end of the deck railing where they get mostly shade.
I would consider growing a different flower, but I need to know what works. Anybody using these pouches? And what do you plant that is successful? I’ve seen pansies suggested, but I don’t do well with pansies.

I don't know what you are referring to. Are they a hanging container of some sort? Round? Rectangular? Would lobelia work in them?

I like the looks of those! Hadn't seen them before.
Lobelia are somewhat heat sensitive. I grow mine in partial to mostly shade and keep them well watered and they do pretty well in the hottest part of summer.
Maybe lantana? They are heat tolerant and there is a trailing variety that would probably do well in hanging baskets.

My niece grew several different plants in the pouches, but I don't recall at this time what she grew. I'll ask next time we speak. I recall that she was very pleased with them.
The one thing I wouldn't grow is wax begonias; I've found their roots are too sensitive to heat. In fact the only containers in which I could grow them were those made of Styrofoam.

binnylou Have you started your petunias yet? I'm thinking to wait a couple more weeks.

Spent some time separating the seeds from chaff of last season's Tithonia dried seed heads... Dang! those things are prickly...

Started some petunia seeds yesterday! Wild Petunias, love those. They are smaller blooms but trail nicely. Another one called "Balcony Mix", various shades of pinks/purples. Not doing the Wave ones this year, no white ones since the JB love white. They are also attracted to the yellows.

Started 36 burgundy impatiens today. Some will be for hanging pouches and some will go to the flower garden. There is an area at the west end of the flower bed that gets ignored. The flower bed has a border/path around it created using concrete and those concrete molds. The spruce trees hang over the west end making it difficult to plant along the path, but impatiens back in that spot would be pretty.
New camera arrived today...the old one was eating batteries. Perhaps I can get a pic of the problem area. I don’t normally plant impatiens in the ground. Am I going to have deer issues with that?

binnylou, As I recall, bunnies will eat impatiens.....been there done that. They are supposed to be rabbit resistant but as we all know rabbits will pretty much eat anything. You could sprinkle blood meal around them if rabbits appear. I don't know about deer.

Mumsey, we haven’t seen a rabbit since last summer, and all I saw was the back legs. Somebody had rabbit for lunch. We have owls and fox in the area and on the yard. The bunny lunch took place in the veggie garden that has electric fence.

Checking around the flower garden, I find tulips and daffodils have sprouted. That was fast...just a few days ago, none were showing.
Impatiens are growing well under lights. I do hope that continues...it’s quite a savings if I can grow my own.
Wave petunias have sprouted. They were moved from heat mat to a spot under lights this morning. They are so tiny, but once the seed germinates, they are pretty easy.
Started Blue salvia today. The saved seed is several years old, so I’m hoping it sprouts.
When giving the compost pile a stir, I found a piece of rose stem cutting from fall cleanup. The stem is in good condition, so I did what gardeners do. Since I found a method of rooting rose stem cuttings that works, the one rescued from the compost pile is going into some perlite/seed starting mix in a clear disposable water bottle.
