Pretty freakin' gorgeous. Sunny, high 70s, low humidity. Some early morning tennis, a homegrown salad, then outdoor yoga.

Gorgeous day today - only reason I'm inside now is because for another 30 minutes or so the area in my garden I had left to work in is still in the sun, then it's in the shade - much of what I'm finished in, will be in the sun briefly again. It was only up to 83° today, and breezy, with very little humidity. Supposed to get a little warmer as the weekend goes on, but still low humidity.

We will be under that heat dome for the next few days. Sauna-like.

I don't think we are technically under a heat dome but are probably on the edges of it. It is back to the low 90s again (for the past few days). This is the time of year when we start to drop down to comfortable and moderate summer highs of low to mid 80s. Not this year.

Drought continues across the state with one marina closing for the season as the lake is 13.52' below summer pool. Looked up data for the lake near my parents and it's a little over 4' below normal. This will definitely be a year for the books

Multiple rounds of thunderstorms today left 1.4” of rain.
More on the way tonight.

93° out there now, with a dewpoint of 70°. Thunderstorms went south of here, which is typical, these days. The only good thing was the winds picked up, to make it bearable, but still not good. Seems the only natural water the plants have been getting for quite a while is the dew!

Overnight thunderstorm dropped 1.85” rain.
More stormy weather is predicted for this evening. Rain, wind, and possible hail, but earlier. These 2 a.m./3 a.m. warnings from Emergency Management are disruptive to my sleep pattern. I do appreciate the warning, though.

Another scorcher-- 94º high today, with barely a cloud in the sky. We are on a roll.Been in the 90s for several days. I had to water as we have not had any rain- at least nothing measurable, just some spits.

High got to 89º before dropping quickly into the 60s when an unexpected thunderstorm rolled in early this afternoon. We got just about a half inch of rain. Woo hoo!
