Hotter here than yesterday, but only a few degrees (only 87°); however, the dewpoint was up to 73°, after the mid-fifties yesterday, so it was much more noticeable. I didn't do as much out there today, and took a shower shortly after cooling off inside! Tomorrow, hotter, and scattered TS through the area, and throughout the day. I'll see if any show up hear.
Started raining recently, and it looks like this first line is coming through this area, with some thunder with it. I was wondering if it would bring anything with it.

Got .66" of rain overnight, with more to come later, and I'm hearing more thunder now, and though it doesn't seem close, there are popups on the radar, until a heavy line comes through, with warnings of "intense" TSs. Now I'm seeing lightning, and it's getting MUCH louder, so something must be here! At any rate, I probably won't be out there handling the plants today!
UD - total up to 1.18" at noon, with thunder in the distance. Temperature was only 81°, but humidity was 89%.

Without checking the official numbers, I can tell you that it's double butt ugly out there. I got a couple of small outdoor chores done early, after which it's been all indoor chores.
Still waiting for the earschplittenloudenboomers which are predicted.

Now that third line of storms is coming through, the worst of the day, they are forecasting. It had stopped at 1.18", and actually got a little sunny in the afternoon, but the temperature really didn't rise to 90°, at least in my area - only around 85°. But already the rain is up to 1.45", and this area is in the middle of a wide yellow/orange/red strip in the raday, with another one of those lines predicted for later. And still only 80°, but the meteorologist on the local station was talking about how this was the highest dewpoint level he had ever seen in this area, in his 20 years of reporting - 78°. That was at the noontime, for that news - may have gotten higher now! Now my total is up to 1.80", in the time I typed this. Rain is down to a drizzle now, at 8 pm, and the total is up to 2.60. I'm still hearing thunder, however. Temperature is down to 76° At the end, I got a small sunshower, of sorts, and it took the total up to 2.75". The sky actually got some blue in it, then got real orange, at the end of it - the storm must have thought it was in Florida, instead of Jersey!

Today was like something out of a fantasy thanks to the weather. While yesterday found me watering in a sweltering 111-degree heat index, awoke this morning to a sunny 56 degrees & strong breezes. The sun & breezes have continued all day, & temps never got higher than 77. LOVELY!! If only the entire summer could be like this.

Same here, breezygardener. Cool, mostly cloudy, with a breeze, and no bugs in my face. I was sorry when my pain meds wore off and I had to call it quits for the day. I actually got some things done in the flower garden.

Clear blue skies during the day, rain in the evening for the past few days. We just got .66 inch of rain today and about a half inch yesterday. This is classic monsoon pattern only with more rain each day than what is typical in a monsoon rain event. High was 81 today. If this keeps up we just might get closer to our average precipitation for year to date.
So much for the predictions they gave us- at least for now- that we were out of el nino this summer and that it is to be hot and dry. Early June was that way but end of June and into July it is wet and cooler. I love living in a place where rain is so welcomed. We never get tired of it around here.

Rained all night and all day, upwards of 1.5". Now it's very humid, still and misty/hazy. Last 2 days were cool. More rain Thursday and forward.

Rain yesterday morning dropped 9/10”, then the second round of the wet left another 1.1”. No wind or damage. Just very heavy rain.
No watering today, but weed pulling should be a breeze.

1/2" of rain Thursday night and 1/8" last night. Plants are perking up but some of the beds are still dry.

It is disgusting out there - it was up to 88°, and 77° dewpoint when I went out front this morning (front and side in the shade then), but I was only out about 30 min. It is up to 93° now, with that horrible humidity (101 HI, @1:30), but I will say, it is getting windy! Another 30 minutes and I'll go out back, when that is in the shade - hopefully, it will remain windy, but not get rainy, at least until I come inside! Less probability of rain today than tomorrow, but that changes all the time.

What we have going on here at the moment cannot remotely be called "weather". Tis more like an "introduction to h*ll". Still as death (no breeze), 98 degrees, 109 heat index. My deck garden is clearly suffering, so I must go out to water, but I'm dreading it, although Mr. Breezy may not allow me out until it's cooler. He did volunteer to water, but why should HE suffer when I can do it & then whine about it - lol!
