At this rate I won't get any peppers all year, but I'll be swimmin' in lettuce.

83* and steamy out there. I dumped 55/100 inch from the rain gauge from overnight rain. More on the way. No watering today .

We had a 6 minute downpour around 2030 last night. It came down in sheets. Then abruptly stopped.

In the last week we’ve had close to 5 inches of rain with rains predicted everyday for the next 6 days. I’m looking for life preservers to throw to our pumpkin plants!

We are plummeting from 90º, two days ago,(80s today) to 65º tomorrow and the next few days! and then to the high 60s on Monday is predicted! They're saying the nights will stay above 50. Barely.
This is just too weird.

In weather, nothing is too weird if you live long enough. Then you can play the geezer: "Why I remember way back in 1963...".

Early evening rainfall yesterday. Hubby dumped 65/100 from the rain gauge. Another day with no need to water.
The remaining marigolds and a few asters stuck in the ground probably appreciated getting rained in.

It’s 5 am and already a heavy hot morning..the humidity is so dangerous.todays highs.hovering around 100o w 70% humidity...ouch.guess m going down to see the garden by 6am or it’s not happening. It’s brutal.. I took small evergreen south of decorative pots and just dumped them in the ground...then put those leftover plants in them. I still have a delivery of mulch to put onthe gardens but those 40#bags are tough to move especially when wet. I have to figure out how to move them without killing myself. The dogs have been staying in the basement because it’s cooler. They can’t stand the heat either..

I have to figure out how to move them without killing myself. Cut open and scoop into wheelbarrow. Then no heavy lifting of 40# bags. When I need to move chicken feed by myself, I open the bags and move in Lowes buckets until the bag is light enough to carry.

We were dry yesterday with just a short quick shower last evening. Showers predicted off and on all day today. Lots of flooding as areas received even more rain than we did. I hope the weatherman is wrong.

It is disgusting out there today - only up to 88° while I was out there this morning, but no wind, and 73° dewpoint. I already took my first shower when I came inside! So far, it has hit 90°, but it is at least breezy. I'll go out much later, when the rest of the garden is in the shade, though it will be even hotter.
I just count my blessings...it's hot here, but nothing like what you guys out west are getting! My heart goes out to all of you.

It’s the first time we had it delivered in in Bags normally it’s just a pile that I slowly work down. Bags? Never again! It’s taking me so long todo.

normally it’s just a pile that I slowly work down. So open the bags and make a pile.
