I am getting one or two a day but some plants have not produced any red ones yet. My Jersey Boy has been the best tasting so far and it is the best producer too.

I picked my blushing tomato thinking it was "ripe enough" for a cooked dish I can guarantee that the first ripe tomato would not go into a cooked dish. I/we will enjoy the first one in all its glory. It might even get eaten in the garden. Unfortunately, we have a long way to go before we have ripe tomatoes.

My larger tomatoes are beginning to ripen! Green Cherokee, Green Bomb, Big Zac, and Sweet Carneros Pink all had their first ripe ones today, and Faelan's 1st Snow got a couple more. This is in addition to countless Flamingos and cherry tomatoes all over the place! I'll be making some ratatouille, as well as some gazpacho very soon! Tonight I made my raw tomato pasta (with garlic, basil, and olive oil), with some canellini beans stirred in, for protein. The first dish I make when I get two lbs. of ripe tomatoes all at once!

I am finally getting some ripe ones too. I have some stewed tomatoes planned and then ratatouille after I get some eggplants.

Picked a few more maters this morning... The 4 big green ones are "Green Giants", the smaller ones in the front are "Purple Haze", continuing counter clock wise is a "Yoders German Yellow", "Bear Creek", "Eva Purple Ball" and last but not least is a "Olive Hill"... now there is a patty pan squash my friend gave me to try out and wanted me to save seeds if I could... Yes there will be "slicer" pics to follow... LOL!

Nice looking tomatoes! I am just about to get my first ripe one so you're way ahead of me. Want to trade seeds when I have some to trade?

I harvested a bunch of tomatoes today and yesterday. The non-cherries are starting to ripen bigtime! Sweet Carneros Pink: Flamingo - small, but earliest non-cherry to ripen, and earliest of any last season! Not one split with this bad rain we've had. Faelan's 1st Snow. Splitting badly, due to the rain we've had. Green Bomb and Green Cherokee. G Cherokee split some; G Bomb didn't split, but had a couple with BER, before outgrowing it. And a bunch of others, ripe and ripening, I picked to get off the plants, before spraying with a prophylactic fungicide (potassium bicarbonate and oil). It's that time!

I saw my first Compari turning red so I went to pick it yesterday and it was split from all the rain we had Thursday. >:( It still tasted wonderful. Nothing else turning red yet.

My tomatoes are just forming. They are about ping pong ball sized.

I hope they don't split like mine because of all this heat and rain. I'm keeping my eyes on the other one that is starting to turn red.

my little area has missed a lot of the recent rain - not totally - but it hasn't been too much rain, plus my tom bed is raised like most of my growing spots. I have one bed with the purchased peppers that is not raised and I think doing fine.

done and done! woot woot!
I think it may have been a bit tastier tomorrow - but I had a cuke to go with it and the previously harvested early girl bush tomtom was chopped up and put into one of the tastiest simplest salads I can recall in a while.
My own lettuce! My own cuke! My own tom! My own sunflower sprouts!!!
yummy!
sadly - a purchased avocado.....
I also made the vinaigrette to go with - again - super simple, honey dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper, and olive oil.
I really want more, but no more cukes or toms available.....
:(
