That sounds wonderful and I love fried food too. I just don't eat it real often but I may try that recipe tomorrow.
Store bought cauliflower seems bigger and heavier. I think that it is bigger around but this one sure tasted wonderful.

Who doesn't like fried food- especially when done right? Salty/crunchy mmmmm
(But if I ate it real often my overall cholesterol would be 350)

yes Lisa, and we know you eat straight ham fat too and never gain an ounce -- when are you going to let us in with a pic?

It's going to be cole slaw Share your dressing recipe please. I like coleslaw, but have never found just the right dressing. Many are just too sweet.

Brown, do you ever make cabbage soup? I don't usually make plain cabbage soup but I do add shredded cabbage to my chicken soups. I'll post the recipe later in cooking.

Today was cabbage harvest day. I cut 5 of them and left 4 smaller ones in the garden. Here they are after removing from under the row cover. They are cut off and laying in a pile for their photo, not growing like that. I had a couple of slugs on the lower leaves but you can see that my cabbages are worm free thanks to growing under row covers.
Here they are trimmed and ready to bring indoors. I will start a batch of sauerkraut tomorrow.

Are your pretty cabbages turned into kraut yet?
Did you save a head for corned beef and cabbage? I hope so!

3 of those heads are shredded and fermenting. I also shredded another one for coleslaw and tomorrow I will shred enough to make a double batch of that freezer coleslaw and put it away.
It's nice that cabbage is harvested when not too much else is ready so I have the time to work with it.

anybody want the cabbage soup recipe?
I always retype mine and add notes for what I did, and ideas for what else might be good, and not particular about measurements....
