I don't know about serenading the plants but I like to hook up my iPod and listen to some Grateful Dead while gardening. The Weather Report Suite (which includes Let It Grow) seems appropriate.

Put this cd in the boom box a few minutes ago. Give'em a bit of honky tonk to strut and sway by for awhile. Maybe serenade them tonight with some piano themes. Right now I'm in a bit of a mood for them.
