I really hate to tell this, but.... I'm sure you REALLY hate it. Still snowing here - "wintry mix" is due next.

It actually rained here this morning albeit fairly briefly and didn't get above 70 all day, looks like winter has returned.

I have been lucky this year, but I got around 4 or 5 inches of snow today. And the towns around here are being cheap about it, and not plowing, hoping that it changes to rain (as it is forecast to do) and melts it all, along with the warmer temps tomorrow. I doubt seriously this will happen.

beautiful now. sun is out, Blue sky, no wind, about 30 something. another story tomorrow- will be around 11 in the morning - so you know what that means - all this slush and melted snow freezes. It SO feels like today is the end of winter/beginning of Spring, but it isn't. not yet. Temps in the 20's forecast next 4 days, with one day up to 36. Some conscientious home owners are carefully scraping the sludge from their sidewalk, so it doesn't turn into an ice rink tomorrow.

I saw daffs poking up outside the building where I live. That was before they got 4-5 inches of snow dumped on them. I'm gonna go out and look for them.

I love seeing those first signs of things waking up. Dafs are early and so encouraging that spring is on its way. I've even had them in full bloom with snow hanging on them.

31 degrees at noon with a breeze and sunny. It snowed yesterday, yet melted as fast as it hit the ground. Bare ground. Can't seem to get any snow cover this year.

We didn't get as much "wintry mix" as was predicted, just enough to make a light crust on the 5 inches of snow that we got.
The sun is shining and it is 40 degrees so everything is melting which is wonderful. Tomorrow the arctic cold returns until Wednesday so having clear sidewalks and roads will be a good thing.
I heard some birds singing as I was shoveling so I am starting to believe that we may have a spring after all.

It's in the low 60's and raining. Not much coming down but I'll take every drop I can get. Planted some flower seeds yesterday so they can get a nice drink of rain water.
