We had an inch of wet snow overnight, but it's mostly melted thanks to the sun, but not so much for the temp, which is still only in the high 30's. Sunny, but very windy/blustery out, so not expecting any further rise in temps. Going down into the teens tonight. Brrr.

It was 11* when I got up this morning. 24 now and beautiful blue sunny sky. Up into the 40's and 50's starting tomorrow. I'm ready. No snow in the forecast at all. I'm good with that.

Woke up to what looked to be 5-6" of snow. Can't shovel on the Sabbath, so was planning to shovel tonight. Later heard noise on the front porch and looked out the window to see someone leaving. The walks and steps were shoveled. Don't know who he was and didn't call out as I got the feeling he wanted to be anonymous. I've salted some of my neighbors walks and shoveled a bit when I was younger. Actually did that a few days ago, but it was easy, more like pushing than lifting. It was very nice to be on the receiving end.

We're expecting about 5 inches of rain the next 3/4 days. Instead of collecting more rain water, I've directed the downspouts/sump pumps out to the front street, and eventually into the ocean.
In the past when I've collected all the rain I could, then directed the water onto the nice garden soil, the weeds that grew in the extra wet areas (but well-drained) were overly happy. Not this year - I don't want to deal again with massive weeds come summer.

21° with snow and winds up to about 40 mph. We had about 6" of snow overnight and a few more inches this morning. The kids and grandkids are all down in Jamaica, too bad they are missing out on all this nice weather we're having. We went to a pancake breakfast at the Legion after church, saw a few cars off the road on the way home. The snow is supposed to stop in two more hours, will take the tractor out to snowblow then.

6° this morning, no idea where that came from, the forecast was for around 20° or so. Plows went through about 4:35 but it looks like we only had blowing snow because the car is clean. No wind, good for snowblowing.

Definitely an El Nino year with lots of rain. Rain held off and was able to have a successful yard sale both Saturday and Sunday. Weather came in overnight and is expected to last through mid week at least. The ground is so saturated.

We reached 60 today, sunny and clear. After last week when we had a gray overcast blanket off and on and a mix of things including some freezing drizzle. This week supposed to be very nice and springlike. I went outside and did a walk around to see anything green coming up. Was happy to see larkspur, bachelor buttons and a few others including a few like the pincushion flowers that self sowed last fall and stayed green most of the winter. Also thought I saw a couple of poppy seedlings popping up. Glad to see the sunshine, that overcast weather was too gloomy!

We also had a spring day today, as predicted. High was 58º overnight low was 26º and more of the same predicted for the next few days. Looks like we are having similar weather heirloomfan, Isn't it grand?! One of my neighbors predicted that it was going to be an early spring. He might be right.
