It was a clear, sunny, no wind day with a high of 41º Had that spring feel. But snow is on the way starting tomorrow AM - remnants from the California storm, a couple of days ago. Then we are to start a warming trend with sunny, around 50-ish days. I might start some garden clean up along the edges (so that I don't step on muddy beds)- I'm starting to get that itch.

We've had a week of perfect 50 and 60 degree weather but rain today and tomorrow with temperatures forecasted to drop next week.

The snow arrived this morning, later than expected and not as much landed as was predicted--between 1-2 inches, instead of the 6-8 inches. Just as the piles had just about melted, we now have more to contend with. The magic that comes with first snow has definitely worn off for this woman. We've had more this year than in the past several years. I'm done. Rain would be nice, though. Temps are just too cold for rain however. Last nights' low was 16º. High today was 33º and it will be colder tonight- it's already down to 18º at 9PM.

Quite a bit of rain overnight, but changed to snow sometime after 6:30 am, which was predicted (still clear when I got up the first time, at 6 am). The coating was there when I got up, around 8:30, but no snow coming down. Later, it started again, but still not coating the walks or drives. This photo isn't great, and doesn't show the snow coming down, as the camera is focusing on the screen mesh! Temp is down to 35°, but the sun is supposed to come out, and temp up to 42°, so most of the snow should be melted. Already stopped at 11:00. Winter not over, but no shoveling needed here...yet. by pepperhead212, on Flickr And now, at 2:30 pm, snow is gone.

We are definitely in the Spring yo-yo. It's here early. The warming trend is now here! Low to high 50s predicted for the rest of February, with overnight lows in the 30s. Snow is melting rapidly. Hallelujah!

Overnight snowfall, all pretty and sparkly. I was peering out the deck door about 3 a.m., and the snow looked like someone was tossing glitter from the rooftop.

I'm getting some more snow again, and I won't be happy, since this won't be melted in 3½ hours, like the last one.

It felt a little cooler today, or at least it felt that way because some cloud cover moved in. High was 51º. Tomorrow is predicted to be a bit cooler and then we roll into mid to high 50s for the next 10 days with a couple of days hitting low 60s- that's unheard of in February! Lows will probably be in the low/mid 30s except for tonight. Definitely spring fever is kicking in.

8* this morning..brr... Yesterday's walk was COLD and windy. Once we started out, I wondered why??? But we continued and it was an abbreviated journey. We had snow Thursday night, less than 1/2" but it stuck around for part of the day. Gone now. Temps are heading back up during the week.

Well, it looks like we got between 3 and 4 inches of snow overnight - about what was forecast for my area (though some were getting up to 6") - but the good thing is, I don't have to shovel! I sprinkled some calcium chloride on the walks, as a precautionary, but even those w/o this have most of it melted already, as those, and the streets much have still been warm, from sunny days we had. Car is covered, but I'm not going anywhere! I think that will melt by the time I have to go somewhere.
