I am working on getting everything ready for spring so I know where they are and don't freeze the tubers I do have. Didn't I see that someone put them under the bed?? Restless, was that you??

I just placed my order with Swan Island...5 different dahlias. The selection was very painful. There's SO MANY to choose from! I finally sorted by color and chose from what came up with each search.
I ordered one called Brushstrokes...looks pink in their catalog...described as rose....looks a little orangy on their website. Hope the catalog is correct.

Were any of those on your list? I bought : Brushstrokes...a 4 1/2 inch bloom in rose color Dark Majic...a 6 inch bloom in fuchsia Polventon Supreme...a 5 inch bloom in yellow Tempest...a 5 inch bloom in coral Mingus Phillip Sr...an 11" bloom in a blend of cream to pink Deciding was very difficult. They are all beautiful..and I could have ordered more. I'm going to feel really bad if these tubers become chipmunk food.

I joined too binny! Let's see what happens. Pea, Have you been looking at the pics that are being posted by members of this Facebook group? I'm thinking this is going to be a lot of work. And if these Dahlias grow successfully, it could become addictive. Lisa, Have you removed your Dahlias from your urns? I'm curious about container growing of these plants.

I'm ready for that! You? I was in my garage this morning rounding up the containers that I will be using to start them early inside! I have 6 altogether and a few ceramic and vinyl outside pots for when they go out. It's a better addictive than a lot of other things...I will be ready for a shot of adrenaline come March. Do you think they could be started earlier than that? PS I'll have to find y order slip to tell you which ones I purchased...later>>>>>>>

Lisa, Have you removed your Dahlias from your urns? I'm curious about container growing of these plants. They are STILL out there. Gonna take them in at the last possible minute. I figure that is best. They are freezer burnt, but the soil is STILL unfrozen. Want them in the house the LEAST possible time.................. This might wear me OUT!
