picketfencegreenhouse.dianemumm.com/tag/how-to-grow-king-tut-grass/ I would be interested to hear how you do with this mumsey. How do you collect the seed for this?

It's pretty dry, so I cut a head and placed it in a plastic bag, top left open to air. I'll check the other heads after first frost and save one of those too.

I see you certainly do it that way. Those are from one of the dahlias? But It is my understanding that they can be separated. I am going to order some in November or December. I was checking out some gardening sites to see when they deliver. But I will be doing the tubers I think. You do great from seed. I am not so good. Pea, check out the website of Swan Island Dahlias.....they have some real beauties. And Lisa, they also have a video clip on separating/storing your corms...from what they say, you should be dividing them for the best blossoms. www.dahlias.com/viewall.aspx

I am wondering the hibiscus plants need to be divided also. How do you handle them after a couple years? The one I planted in the early summer got really bushy extending nearly double the space it has. I didn't expect that to happen.

I placed an order with them this morning for a spring delivery. What did you order? They have so many, I can't decide. If you order for spring delivery, do they charge your credit card now, or when they ship? Decisions, decisions....

For me they ship mid April which is a bit early for me to put outside but I plan on starting them inside anyway. They deducted now. I ordered 5 dahlias altogether.
