Mine is loving all the rain, the ones in partial shade are doing better. Have never grown it before.

They love moisture, I am told. I tried to grow celery. Gave up after the 2nd try. It's just too dry here , so even with a lot of supplemental water, the second time around, they were just not happy. Decided I'd rather use the space for things that handle our arid conditions.

I am growing cutting celery. I really like it. It's like flat leaf parsley with slightly thicker stems. I grew regular celery in a container last year from the roots of an organic celery I got at the store. It really did work!

I would have tried it this year - if I'd know it was going to be a very wet spring with lots of cool spells!
My crystal ball is not up to stuff!

I have been growing it every year from the bulk bin seeds. at first I grew it in back in containers as micro greens last year, I took some of those and put them at the CG, they grew just find in the dappled shade behind the cucumbers. this year, they were supposed to get shade behind the beans, but the beans got eaten by bugs.... they're in sun, and tryin' hard. only a couple are still goin.

I didn't grow celery this year but they certainly do love moisture so this would have been a good year for it.

I just figured out the Flickr photo insert thingy. Here is what my cutting celery looks like. It looks just like parsely, but tastes just like celery. The stems are slightly thicker and more celery like than parsley. The stems can be added to recipes as if it was regular celery. cutting_celery by Purpleplum Radish, on Flickr

Very nice.
Glad you figured out how to insert pics. Sometimes I am in too much of a hurry (or too lazy ) to go to another site to look at a pic.
