digging out some dandelions, I realized I forgot my intentions for early spring weed and feed. But - I thought, maybe it's not too late.
so - I took a few likely candidates into the kitchen and washed them up. Sauted in a bit of oil with some soy sauce and a splash of spicy sauce, still pretty good!
I'm thinking of changing my screen name to weedeater.......if it isn't already taken....
I can't find a lambsquarter in the yard these days......I keep eating them.

Boy if we lived closer to each other, I could give you all you could eat.

I have wondered over the years, who was the first to eat something to see if it was eatable...back in the hunter gatherer days...
+ I remain amazed that most of the most medicinal herbs are weeds! dandelion, nettle, milk thistle, mullein...red clover flower, mint,
the "adrenal tea" I used to make was: nettle , oat straw, motherwort and dandelion

who was the first to eat something to see if it was eatable... not only that, how did they figure out what it was good for! It's not like they were able to scientifically analyze plants.
