Went to town yesterday, picked up some more seed. We've had some sunshine, and I need to fill in spots that did not germinate.
got an Armenian cucumber, will see how it goes. And Early White kohlrabi.
This year I have done much better with planting less, but more variety.... Well I think I have, we will see what the jungle looks like in August.
i was disappointed with myself last year in the amount of waste.

i was disappointed with myself last year in the amount of waste. Sometimes it is difficult to control the enthusiasm for gardening. Our high number of tomatoes planted was 200....only 12 this year.

I hate empty holes as well. I go get some pepper plants on clearance and fill in the lettuce beds. I have already gotten some pepper plants and planted them amongst the lettuce. By the time lettuce is done, they will take over. Volunteer tomatoes go in the garlic and onion beds. Even if they don't do much, it's still something green!

find a one of those services that 'pick for you' (usually fruit trees, yet... maybe other stuff...)?
