My cukes and zukes are seeds in the ground. Maters are growing fast, but far from blooms. I have one pepper with a bloom, but the yellow banana always produce first.

I have golf ball sized green tomatoes but it will be July before I have any turning color.
Pepper plants have little peppers.
I picked my first English peas today and cabbage should be ready to harvest within a week. I have to keep my eye on it with all of this rain. I don't want them to split open.
I guess it's almost time to start my sauerkraut.

oooh lucky you, karen. Things are just getting going here.
My tomatoes and tomatillos and chiles were all starting to flower in their pots but I kept pinching them off. Everything is in the beds now, (planted a couple of days ago) and they can start flowering to their hearts content.

I found 3 more that are just barely starting to turn too. I have one bell pepper that is getting close to picking time. My cukes & squash were planted late for me...but there are bloom buds showing up on them. Still no tassels on the corn, but that's ok. One old fella down the road has tassels on his and the guy across the road planted field corn "I think"...his is almost shoulder high. We are getting tired of green beans. I may pull these and plant some more later....after I get a new rubber ring for my canner.

We are getting tired of green beans That usually happens here too so I learned my lesson and started planting only one short row of them. It provides plenty for the two of us.

I grow only a short row too. I love them fresh from the garden but not frozen.
Many of what I grow- veggies and flowers- are for a short time and I see them as good friends coming for their yearly visit. I savor every minute with them. A few things I freeze for winter soups.

Haven't you guys started harvesting yet. Only cherries so far but had a few sungolds and german green cherries, which is a new one for me but I'd thoroughly recommend

yester, I went to the garden to weed, since its been raining, and my tomatos are up (direct seed)...it's supposed to be warm the next few days, we'll see what happens. (the bugs have arrived, so things are getting chomped - bush beans may fail) I will re sew.
