These things do everything a milk jug can do! Heck I can buy 6 gallons of milk for the price of 5 of these things ($20!), and I end up with the jugs for free! Just got the Gardens Alive catalog today, one of many, and noticed this product on page 19. It is held to the ground with "U shaped pins", sold separately, 25 for $7.95! It looks like you use 3 pins per cover. $28 not including shipping, to cover 5 plants. Shipping would be $11.95.

LOL!
I do like their Tomato Towers. Those things are spendy but worth every penny. They have free shipping coupons and good sales.

Pea- what do the ***'s designate? Is there a difference between the * ones and the others or are they all Monsanto-free?

Gardens Alive has gotten quite expensive through the years. I used to buy things from them (probably at least 10 years now) with the $25 off $50 deal, but now even with 50% off, there's not much that's a good deal.
Speaking of those U-pins, I got some from Ollie's outlet @ 40/$1.49! That was such a steal (and I use Agribon, irrigation llines, and other U-pinned things a LOT) I got 5 bags of them!

You can make your own "U pins" out of any roll of decent wire for a whole lot less than buying them, though $1.49 for 40 sounds like a good deal. Depends how big of a "U" you want. I made my own for landscape fabric.
And I agree, Gardens Alive has gotten way more expensive. Free shipping would go a long way to get me back to them, except they are Monsanto. So that takes care of that.

This list was compiled by eatlocalgrown.com
The asterisks indicated a second level of approvement
The paragraph before this list reads: In 2005, Monsanto purchased Semenis which was (and is) the world’s largest seed company and now they own thousands of conventional seed companies in addition to their GMO seed business. Monsanto now owns 40% of the conventional seed market in the US and 20% of the worldwide market, including organics and heirlooms. It’s not terribly easy to avoid them, which is why we’ve compiled the list below list with the help of readers and some experts from the field, both to help you navigate through things as well as encouragement for companies to take part in the boycott so that they may also qualify to have their names included.
Here they are, and please let us know of any companies we may have missed and we will add them to this list. Names are in alphabetical order. Try to search for a company in your bioregion when possible. Also, it never hurts to ask any company if they sell any Seminis seeds or seeds from Seminis’ partners. (Sites with asterisks* have the additional approval and endorsement by Farmwars.info and verification by recognized leaders in the battle)

Whew! I buy Botanical Interests when I need seed. Good to know they are ***Stars***
40% U.S. conventional seeds and 20% world wide. (including organic and heirloom?!) That is staggering.
Thanks for posting this.

ROFL! I just checked my mail and one of their catalogs was there! I guess they haven't given up on me. I had to look to see what that that TPP was (they weren't around when I last looked), and they don't look much better than milk jugs, as others noted. I'll stick with my WOWs.

I do like their Tomato Towers. Quoting myself b/c I realize I mixed up companies...the Tomato Towers I referenced are from Gardeners.com not Gardens Alive.
