So far Kaner has eaten every veggie except celery. Loves carrots and green beans. He had watermelon for the first time today. Not sure about it at first, then he realized it was pretty good.

We like our green beans crisp, too. I steam them just a few minutes, then toss them with fresh minced garlic, a drizzle of olive oil, some lemon juice, salt and pepper. Yum!

Last year in the organic magazine, a reader wrote in and recommended, that after her beans had produced, she cut them back, they regrew and produced again. Has anyone tried this. She was talking bush beans.

Never tried that. I started planting shorter rows so that I don't get as many at once. Then when they are ready to start producing, I plant another short row. We don't like frozen beans so I only need enough for fresh eating.

Mrs.K: yes, I have and it works every time, I generally get 2 or 3 pickings, each a little less tho.
Brown: yes, I do that too. my beans aren't up yet :~( maybe they're waiting for warmer - it's not been warm since they went in but maybe 2 days.
