I hate those little demons...every year they get me...my best year was keeping them under FRC until they needed pollination and planting a second crop. They torment me...

Succession planting is the only way for me to get squash. I plant my second crop when the first crop starts producing and I have squash all summer.
I can't avoid the SVB so I gave up on that and I just work around their life cycle.

I usually have it annually as well but I try to cut it out and rebury the stem. Most the time I am successful but not all the time.

Stupid Squash bugs have been rearing their ugly heads. Every morning I pick the eggs off the leaves hoping to keep them out. I never see the adult though. So far no babies but it is early days yet. At the community garden I found what look just like squash bug eggs on a tomato leaf. Confused squash bugs I guess.

I found a few Colorado Potato Beetle eggs on my potatoes. They are bright orange eggs but they put them on the underside of the leaves so you don't always see them. I figure that if I saw and removed one cluster that I probably missed many more so I guess I will be squishing CPB larvae soon.

My eggplant are struggling..I found a bright green bug that looked like an aphid only sci fi bigger..1/2". Seemed to be hanging around some yellow/gold like eggs that I found on the undersides of the tomatillo and eggplant. It was chomping away on the leaves..half of the leaves were gone ..so idk if it was the little grasshoppers or if something else is chowing down. Tomorrow I'll be spraying soapy water...

Have squashed lots of Colorado Potato larvae, removed lots of eggs. But like Brownrexx, I will be planting another crop of squash as soon as I harvest my garlic - which should be next week or so

I checked on the garden this morning and discovered all these little black flies all over. They're mostly at the corners of the raised beds and a little bit in the lettuce. I'll try to get a picture. I cannot figure out what they might be
