My amaryllis went crazy and buds on both stems opened at the same time causing the plant to be top heavy and it fell over. Never have had that happen in the years I've grown them.

Mine are done blooming. They are still growing the foliage so moved them to the area in the front room window and they're enjoying being houseplants for now. Once it warms up I will put them outside and then around August bring inside until about November. I watch Northlawn Flower Farm on You Tube and she grows lots of Amaryllis and has some good growing tips. One of mine that I got last year grew Ok but didn't bloom, but the foliage looks good. I didn't fertilize them so maybe that was part of it.

I noticed another Amaryllis plant has a flower bud. This one hasn't bloomed in a couple of years and it was going to get dumped. It was down in the basement on the windowsill, so I watered it anyway. Noticed the bud over the weekend. Another late bloomer. I don't even remember what color it is.

Here she is in all her glory. You can see the other one next to her getting ready to bloom too. Some of the Petunias too. 20240419_171358 by datgirl2012, on Flickr
