I noticed the little "News" line at the top of the main forum page about pinching mums & that it's time to do so.
Actually, that time has just about passed. If you have hardy garden mums, you need to start pinching off the tips of each stem when they reach a height of 6" in the spring, which, depending on where you live, can be anywhere in April/May. Then you pinch again in June, & do the very last pinch in July. Then you leave them be to do their thing (although I always give them a hit of fertilizer after each pinching session).
