Not a happy camper, what I bought was supposed to be Cardinal Climber from Ferry-Morse. It looks NOTHING like the volunteer ones that come up in the garden. I bought some in case I had no volunteers this year. It looks more like Morning Glory, though the seeds are smaller. It is showing heart shaped flowers, not the fine feathery ones of Cardinal Climber. It also looks nothing like the pic on the package. Will be contacting Ferry-Morse. I put it in big pots on the deck this year, with trellis to climb to avoid the rampant self seeding.

I didn't have any volunteers this year either. I'll have to get some seeds next year. I used to have a lot of Morning Glory, but it's died off too.

I did online contact with Ferry Morse. Sent pics of plant and package. They replied with a form to get replacement. Got 2 pkgs of them today, they are definitely the right thing, packaging is even different than the one I got in the store. I found out what the ones I grew really are, saw them starting to bloom today so did a search. They are Orange Morning Glory, never knew there was such a thing! Very tiny blooms, about 1/2" and very morning glory-like.

Mumsey, I too thought I was purchasing Cardinal Climber. What I got was those no account, ugly morning glory lookin’ vines with teensy weensy orange trumpet “flower”. No, I haven’t contacted the seller yet. I ripped the plants out today. They were in a fabric pot next to the garden gate arbor. I also have issues with Pinetree …red profusion zinnias are not producing as described. I purchased two packs of red and one of yellow. The yellow is fine…a clear bright yellow. The red packets are producing either orange like a pumpkin or mottled orange/gold. Obviously the grower has a problem with record keeping

binnylou. I planted the replacement seed. They look like the same as the orange ones. The pics on both packs are red. They are climbing and if they are orange I’ll be contacting Ferry Morse again. You are right they are ugly. I think what I really wanted is Cypress vine. I have let 4 grow in the garden. They are definitely red and a larger bloom. If I get seeds I can send you some. They volunteer readily. For years even though I’ve not let any grow til now.

Just as I feared, the replacement packages are the same as the first one I bought. The leaves look nothing like the package and they are ORANGE!!

Called Ferry Morse this morning. I was invited to send pics, so I did. Of both different packs of seeds and what grew for me. Told them I don't want replacement again, just letting them know the seeds are not what is pictured. And I did ask in my email where they get the seed. I'll be surprised if they answer that question.
Stay tuned!

Got an automated reply to the email/pics I sent to Ferry Morse, instructing me to go online and fill out the info for replacement. Apparently real people are not in customer service anymore, I explicitly said I don't want a replacement. None of my questions were answered, no surprise there, maybe I'll call again, I really want to know where they got those seeds. It's a simple question, certainly they know. I may have to climb their ladder a little further to find out.

I finally went and left a review for these seeds. Many good ones, but what pics they sent of what grew for them is the same as mine, not what the pic on the package shows. Which leads me to believe many people don't know they aren't right.
There were many bad reviews too, the same problems I saw. I got an email from them about my review, they asked me to email them. Which I just did. Their reply will be interesting. I did say that if their reply seems to be automated like no one ever read it, I do know how to climb corporate ladders. All I want is an explanation and how they plan to fix it for all customers. They are always dead set on replacement. No thanks.
I should have posted this under "Pet Peeves", because it has become one!
