Yes it is. And with the internet everyone has 'facts' and opinions and can freely publish them, correct or not. That's why I'm not unhappy that my memory is fading. I can read something, then forget.

gianna most info is pre internet even if it info data files I was teasing. Each of us, however, generally reaches a point of having to decide what and how much to keep. The usual consideration falls somewhere between 'overwhelming' and 'functional'.

That is a lot of info. I was cleaning out a bookcase the other day looking for something and realized I have an awful lot of gardening books I don't even look thru anymore. Cookbooks too. Took a box full to the thrift store. The ones printed by Ortho, that recommended chemical solutions to every garden problem, went in the recycle bin. Now when I have a question, Google or ask you guys.

It's amazing how we accrue information, in our heads. When I pick up a new hobby everything seems so daunting but after a while things just start to click- with weed identification for example. It can be frustrating at first but when things start to register without having to look them up it gives a big boost of confidence.

wargarden2017, since you collect information spanning at least the last 100 years, I can only imagine how much you have. With garden trends changing all the time and better ways of handling pest and weeds, it has to be a bit overwhelming.

emmsmommy info on handling pest and weeds was not my goal. I pretty much ignore articles on that do to the fact that most of it is regional to varied to help with my planning book. my book specifically does not cover that because excessive varied nature.
