Yup - "Jumping Worms" have been warned about for several years now, but I've yet to come across any here in Piedmont Virginia.

Thanks, lilolpeapicker, I saw that (thanks, too, tendingmygarden). I've seen a few of those around here. They jump and thrash around like a whip when disturbed in the least.

They usually travel in soil in pots. Also people buy them for fishing or even for composting in places where they are still legal to sell.
