wargarden2017, I used to be deficient in #2, but did really well with it last year and it was rewarding! I am negligent of #8. Never have, never will. No need here. Plants grow as they should. Every year. #11, well, sometimes. IMO, most of those mistakes are made by people just beginning, or have big ideas at the time, and life gets in the way. Gardening is a JOB that needs constant attention!

most of those mistakes are made by people just beginning Did some of those a long time ago. Only one now is the tool thing. Leave them out, can't find them, never sharpen. Still, always put my favorite few where I can find them when I need to.

I think I've done them all at some point. #6 was a biggie when I first moved here as we had a friend who redid our first garden when I was at work one day because we were doing it all wrong. #8 done it twice and didn't realize the free testing didn't cover organic practices so it was a bit of a disappointment. #9 I don't think really consider a mistake as I like pushing the limits. #11 sometimes those tools camouflage themselves and blend into the environment. #15 I seldom stick to plans. Yes I've picked out certain beds for certain crops this year but nothing set in stone.
