Wanting a pink one or 2. Has anyone purchased any trees through an online garden outlet?

Has anyone purchased any trees through an online garden outlet? I have in the past, but it's been so long now that I couldn't begin to remember where I purchased from. It's a dicey proposition because nine times out of ten reasonably-priced trees are sold/shipped bare-root, so need a fair amount of coddling. If you wait another month or two, you should find a nice selection of potted dogwoods of all varieties & colors at local independent nurseries & big-box stores.

I've not purchased online trees. They usually are bare root and small 'whips' (basically what it sounds like- a single trunk/stick). Depending on the tree it could be as small as 2 ft up to about 4 ft) I 'm with breezy-buy a potted one from a big box or independent nursery.

lilolpeapicker, I agree, I wouldn't purchase online. Never know what you will get. It's worth the extra $$ to see what you are getting. I've never bought any live plants online. Dad has, with limited luck. He did have good luck with his asparagus though.

I get it about seeing what you're getting especially with the tree sapling.
I have bought some plants online because I cannot find what I wanted anywhere else. I love the flowering maple plant. My mother had 1 a long time and fell in love with the chinese lantern looking flowers. Comes in many colors but I am partial to the pink.
