I know that some time in the recent past there were some recommendations made on here for lightweight watering hoses, but darn if I can find them.
Mr. Breezy bought me some terrific really heavy-duty hoses, but they weigh a ton & are almost impossible to drag onto the deck & maneuver around all my containers to water my stuff. I'm looking to buy a 50' or so sturdy but lightweight hose to connect to our hose behemoth to use on the deck.
Any recommendations?

Zero-G garden hose…I love them. I keep one in the veggie garden and one at the hydrant for the flower garden. Yes, I’ve gone through several of them that have developed leaks at the nozzle ends. But they lay flat, don’t kink, slither around the raised beds when I pull on them,, and I DON’T TRIP ON THEM.

I've been happy with these. I have 3, including a 100 foot one. I use them on my pumps for moving rain water around. Very easy to move. I like the color that makes them easy to see. It never freezes here, so how they work in the cold I don't know. Probably some comments on that in the reviews.
The link I posted does not work, but the title of the product at Amazon is: Flexzilla Garden Hose 5/8 in. x 50 ft, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Drinking Water Safe, ZillaGreen - HFZG550YW-E

Good question, breezygardener! I have a very heavy hose that is incredibly hard to handle, esp. when it is cool, like today. And I was just thinking that I should get some lighter hose, when I uncoiled that almost solid hose, the first time I've turned the water on outside this year. I'll look for those out there.
lilolpeapicker, we use the 50 foot length. If you connect two of them together, be sure to use a thread lubricant to prevent the connected fittings from bonding to each other. Once that happens, you won’t be able to separate them.

Here is the hose I got from Harbor Freight, that looks very much like the Flowzilla. I haven't used it outside yet, but it does look good. Plus it was $5 cheaper, minus a 10% coupon. Niagara flexible hose, from Harbor Freight. by pepperhead212, on Flickr
lilolpeapicker, I’m not sure if WD40 is the product you should use. There’s a product called Permatex Anti Seize Lubricant… a 1 oz tube is $4 at Walmart. Pricier at Amazon. Any hardware store should have it…do you have an Ace Hardware nearby?
A little dab will do the job.

Oooh - I'll have to have Mr. Breezy take a look at that one. He shops at our Harbor Freight all the time.
