Poppies

Are poppies in bloom at your house? I have a Coral Reef poppy that looks like it may not bloom this year. The plant looks healthy enough, but I’m not finding flower buds/pods. When looking through photos, I found that it was blooming on 6/9 in 2019.

I have a salmon Princess Louise oriental poppy that has peaked blooming. Just a couple of flowers left.
My California poppies are in full bloom and have been for weeks.

Last fall direct sowed some American Legion Red poppies from Botanical Interests and Mother of Pearl poppies from Baker Creek and they're both starting to bloom. The Mother of Pearl were new ones I am trying this year, they are supposed to be a 'water color' type poppy with a blend of softer colors. Poppies usually don't last too long and with our windy conditions, the red ones really lose their petals fast.   |
