wet and buggy in the south east. Sounds horrible.
I can't quite get a read on what will happen here. This article is predicting more rain in west Texas and the Four Corners area. No mention of NM. I am right between those two places. I can hope.

Guess I better get the soaker hoses installed before things grow. Put them in last year and didn't even have to use. We'll see how accurate these predictions are.

I read that same story about an hour ago and I was telling hubby that it will be hotter than usual and he said "you didn't like the cold and now you don't like the heat".
I guess I am just a complainer but it says that we will have at least 10 more days above 90 degrees this year and that doesn't sound super appealing.

Two summers ago we had a lot more days in the 90's than usual. It went on for just about 3 weeks. It was hard.

1983 - we broke the record for days over 100 degrees..... how do I remember so long ago? I was pregnant with no air conditioning, and the baby girl ( a darling) was born August 15! If it was not done by 9:00 am, it didn't get done, and I spent a lot of time with my feet in cold water.

Hot, humid, and wet for the SE is what I'm seeing from other sources too, but long range forecasts are to be taken with a big dose of salt, especially nowdays. Hopefully not as wet here as 2013, when the garden was a wash, literally and figuratively. Bugs go with the territory. I sure would like to see my SW friends get good rain.

Actually I planted eggplant for the first time ever this year. I discovered ratatouille last year and I just had to have some eggplant.
I never used to mind thunderstorms but over the last 5 years or so they have become violent and cause lots of damage like downed power lines, broken trees and mini tornadoes. It can be quite scary. Sometimes they also come with hail. Two years ago hail destroyed the siding on the end of our house as well as half of the roof. We had insurance but we had to pay the deductible and now our rates were raised for 3 years.
Our prediction calls for thunderstorms too and I am not looking forward to them.

Not sure if some of you have noticed over the last several years....we now have 2 "tornado allies" or at least that is what I've heard as tornados have increased in some more southern areas....like Alabama!
We have already been WET! I can't get much done due to it raining so often which also makes my arthritis act up....and my hands don't work well when that happens!
