Has anyone here grown "Micro Tom" tomatoes or any of the other newly introduced miniature vegetables (peppers) as houseplants?

I've grown the Red Robin tomatoes, they are considered a 'windowbox' size and they do great in containers. They produce a good sized red cherry tomato on sturdy little plants. They are a determinate, so they do stop producing after a while but are great. A friend gave me a micro tomato called Ink Spot, so may try that one this year too.

Thanks! I'm thinking of trying one or two just for fun. We have skylights & wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows here, so I think a couple of veggie plants might do well.

Even though I bought the seeds to start later in the season for indoor growing, a vendor at our local farmers' market has micro-tom maters - already with green fruit on them - for sale, so may pick one up to experiment with.

Yeah, I love miniature veggies too although I haven't tried the micro Tom. But you can add the peppers too. I have both the habaneros and chiltepins. I started experimenting with these a few years back coz I'm into peppers and I like the challenge to care for them especially during winter.
If you decide to give I a try, notice that habaneros do well in high humidity and moderate temp. And they dislike cold drafts. Oh yeah, lighting is a huge part of these micro peppers. But that's not gonna be a problem for you coz of the wall to wall windows. Otherwise you'd need grow lights as I do. I guess I'll try the microtoms too.

This year, Territorial Seeds has introduced a mini "indoor" cucumber that looks very interesting. Developed to be grown in 6"-8" pots & - with enough light - are supposed to produce large crops of "snack-size" cukes. I can see this being fun to grow in outdoor pots as well.

Yes - our main living area is wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling east, west, & south-facing windows + skylights, so light is definitely not a problem. We're probably the only people who sometimes have to turn the a/c on in the middle of winter on sunny days - lol!
