oh my goodness - to live in the south, eh?
when I get the money and the land, I will build a cold frame and a greenhouse, so I can have more of a year round garden!

Mine are still growing indoors! Won't go out for another 2-3 weeks at best.

That's exciting!
My chile plants have just started forming chiles, which I pinch off. They are still in 2" pots that are just starting to spend some time outside.
Toms and chiles won't go in for at least 4 more weeks, maybe 5.

Oh my goodness...I'm not saposto plant out till may 15th...but I think that I'll just cover them with frc because they've been knocked around so much, they're safer in the ground rather than potting them up again. My squashes and melons have sprouted inside..unless we get a heatwave, they'll be waiting inside a bit longer.

We are supposed to have a string of 70's starting today. I decided I am putting my plants outside , still on the shelves with the cover over them, even if I open the flap. But they won't be going in the ground for about 3 weeks. And then many things will have the milk cartons over them. I can't believe our luck has turned around here. Will be busy today getting caught up with other planting as well, cauliflower, brussels sprouts.

Be careful that they don't get cooked Pea. It's so easy to do when direct sun gets onto the plants for the first time.
I have been hardening mine off for the last 2 weeks and the eggplants still can not take full sun for more than an hour or they wilt.

Even if the shelves have the cover on it, BR? I have a place right behind my house where there is shade except in early morning. I haven't done it yet for today. I know I have to be careful when I really want it BADDDDD!

I am visualizing one of those shelf things with the clear plastic cover like I have seen at Tractor Supply. It can get pretty hot in there if the sun hits it so you have to be careful.

Yup, like that. I will, perhaps a cover over the top...I have plenty of tarp to use.

My seedlings are all sitting on the front porch and loving it. It's a perfect day for them with sun and clouds so it does not really get too hot for them.

That's so exciting when you see development! I can't wait....not that I am hurrying time along...But the excitement is there anyway, eh?
