I want to someday try making wine from the blooms. My mom made Dandelion wine for a couple of years. We had farm fields across the street from us back on Long Island, & she sent all the neighborhood kids out into the alfalfa in the Spring to collect buckets & buckets & buckets of Dandelion blossoms. I was too young to pay much mind to the process, but do remember that her recipe involved fresh lemons, oranges, & sugar, & that it was bottled & "aged" or whatever down in our basement. Honestly don't remember what it ended up tasting like.

I made a batch once and really liked it. My second batch however was inadvertently dumped by my mom because she thought I'd left something set out and it had gone bad.
