An extremely memorable cat - not that they all aren't, but he was truly special. Some in ways we could do without, some that are funny as all get-out & that we'll never forget. We adopted him at Age 10 after he was turned in by the people who had had him since kittenhood because they were "getting new furniture & were afraid he would ruin it". (In the 13 years he lived with us he never so much as touched a stick of our furniture.) Anyway, he now resides out in front of my little birdbath garden, ensconced with the cast of his paw-prints the vet gave us, his favorite pool noodle toy, & - believe it or not - the leftover shells from the lobster he had for dinner last night & lunch this afternoon.

o sorry breezygardener. Looks like Gizmo had a wonderful life with you and a beautiful resting place. Rest In Peace kitty. Thanks. I can't say that he loved us dressing him up for Halloween, but he tolerated it patiently. Probably in exchange for all his good eating. We called him "The Gourmand", because his tastes leaned towards lobster, crab, any type of fish (but swordfish was a favorite), duck, goose - anything expensive - lol!

Rest In Peace, Gizmo. Losing a pet is tough. Kitty has been gone since December and I still miss her. She was a good companion.

What a face! I'm so sorry for your loss, breezygardener, Gizmo had a beautiful long life with you guys. It must be hard to have lost Little Rat Dog and Gizmo so close to each other.

It has definitely been a rather miserable month pet-wise around here. We also lost one of horses last month as well. My poor husband feels like he's done nothing but dig deep holes in the ground the last 40 days or so.
