My collection of old Rodale’s Organic Gardening is looking for a new home. These issues are all from the era before the magazine became a Martha Stewart wannabe, in the handy 6” x 9” format. Many of these have 160 to 200 pages of timeless information. Though the pages are yellowed, most are in really good condition, especially considering their age. They are complete from 1976 thru 1987 except for: March 1981 is missing Jan thru June 1983 are missing 1986 the whole year is missing They are free to anyone who wants to give them a home. Here’s the catch. If interested, I would like for you to come get them. I live in the northwest suburban area of Chicago. Or, if that’s not possible, please let me know where you are and there’s an outside chance that maybe we can meet up in my travels.

Very nice. I have my own collection arranged by month instead of year, so I can re-read at the right time of year for the ideas.

In a fit of deep cleansing I got rid of my old OG magazines quite a few years ago. Every once in a while, I regret it. If I lived closer to Chicago I'd consider taking you up on it.
That's a generous offer. And an incredible font of information Nothing like those oldies!

They are free to anyone who wants to give them a home. This is a wonderfully generous offer. I hope some young gardener accepts them.

I have my own collection arranged by month instead of year, so I can re-read at the right time of year for the ideas. I do that too with all my cooking magazines!!! I love going through old copies of "Gourmet", "Saveur", "Martha Stewart Living", "Bon Appetit", etc., etc. by the month. Come across so many old recipes that I meant to try but forgot about.

Still got a bunch of old OG mags that Mom gave me, and turned me on to organic methods. They're just a bit weatherworn, but plenty of good info within. I'm loathe to throw them away.
