I tried several things and found that what worked best was one panel open and the other partially open for a picture. My window is 72" wide and each drop cloth is about 66" wide so they worked perfectly for my window. I sewed a strip of pleat tape across the top to make the gathers look more professional. I kept my DH in the dark about everything until I got them hung because I knew he would be very skeptical on using drop cloth. I told him after he told me how great they looked and started quizzing me on how much money I spent because they looked expensive. They were actually $11 a panel instead of $12.

That looks great! I like the color. And even though they are a heavy drop cloth they are sort of sheer. Very nice.

Thanks and I was surprised myself at how nice they look. That's the reason I didn't tell my DH until after they were hung. I thought that if they didn't turn out I'd just have a couple extra drop cloths.
