When the taters come out? When the garlic comes out? Iβve been thinking about how to use those spots after the harvest. Squash will go in one of the spots. Pondering...

I put in pole beans after I dug up the potatoes. Partly for the nitrogen contribution and partly because we love green beans.

Half runner shelling beans; late transplants -- tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers for a late crop. I would like enough shelling beans for a cooking with each picking. I haven't yet identified the amount I need to plant at one time. Half runners can take the summer heat so can be planted in succession.

I always leave a spot in my garlic patch and direct sow my sugar pie pumpkin in first few days of June. Just as the pumpkin is getting ready to run, the garlic is being pulled out.

Garlic and onion bed: One usually gets yellow crookneck summer squash. I'm thinking the other will get a crop of cabbage, of which I need to start the seed for. I also need to start more Little Gem for a later crop, which will go where it is now.

Ugh... need to get my cabbage ordered. Was wondering about peas for a fall harvest. Will the summer heat keep them from producing a fall crop?
