raphanus Since you are obviously a pepper lover, given your avatar, you must know that capsaicin cools the body!

I start early, 6:30 or so. Get most of the heavy lifting (not really) done by about 10ish. Then work in the shop until lunch. Lunch usually isn't much, maybe a cheese sandwich. Then back to the shop until about 4:00. Then I'm done. I don't go back out in the evening unless somethin needs killin or something I really need needs fixin. It's been a while since anything needed killin though. Once I hit the AC I'm done and if I don't get out early I can't stay out. I can't get acclimated to the heat mid-day. If I'm out early I guess the brain damage is so slow I don't notice it...

armjr It’s like a frog in a frying pan if you don’t get out early! Like you said you don’t notice it as much! I’m guilty of that all the time. After a while I realize I’m drenched.

One thing I do is drink lots of water. I drink the 16 oz bottles because it's easier for me to get it in my system. I can drink a bottle al lat once and be back to work again. I have trash cans stationed all over the place. #1 wife gets on me about the plastic but it's a tradeoff to stay hydrated. She started mixing me up those lemonade packets in water bottles. They're pretty good and refreshing too. I think they are iced tea and lemonade or something like that. I'll drink about 8-10 bottles of water a day. I don't drink sodas or alcohol and iced tea only when we eat out or that stuff she make me. Of course there's the pot of coffee every morning to get things going...
