I already had 14 tomato plants in the ground and planted 17 more today! And that's not counting my 2 grape tomatoes that are in my front porch flower beds. So I "should" have tomatoes this year!
AND, AND, AND....I found 2 blooms on those I set out a couple of weeks ago, and a bunch more buds! YIPPPEEEEE!!!!
I also planted 7 rows, 4' long of green beans today.
If I have enough corn pre-sprouted, I'm going to plant it tomorrow!

I never think I would like to live in the deep south, until I read posts by people like you this time of year. Blossoms? My toms are safe on the counter and have not got true leaves yet! Enjoy

Me too MrsK! Whenever I hear of southern climes, the first thing pops into my head is humidity and mosquitoes! But - my toms are still in wet paper towels, lol! That part sure is tempting!

the first thing pops into my head is humidity and mosquitoes! Me too but I sure wouldn't mind some less brutal winters! I am expecting sunny weather for the weekend and it will be my first opportunities to really get out into the garden. My tomatoes are about 3-4 inches tall with leaves but are still under lights in the house.

tbird - you are correct, the mosquitoes are already brutal, as are the gnats. And my tomatoes are still on the counter too....
