Corn, beans, squash and potatoes. What I call the Big Four. These are the crops that produce the food that gives us calories to go on. The other things we may grow add some spice and vitamins but not too many calories. For sure try some radishes, carrots, onions, spinach.

It seems like ages since we’ve had “fresh” from the garden…anything fresh from the garden.
Right now, a less than full sized Diva cucumber would be wonderful. I can almost hear the crunch.

Tomatoes are still number one, that I have withdrawal from - frozen help some, but nothing like the fresh, off the plant.

I don’t buy produce (other than bananas and avocados) so I’m at the mercy of the seasons for all my fruits and veggies. I’m dying for zucchini, I think it’s been 9 months since I had one. I like to sauté them with butter and garlic in cast iron skillet.

so I’m at the mercy of the seasons for all my fruits and veggies I love eating with the seasons. I may miss a certain fruit or veggie but when they finally are in season its an old friend coming for their yearly visit.
