First peony blooming. Unfortunately first 2 squash vine borer buzzing around my 2 week old transplant already! Plant covered after I shooed them away. It's a new bed this year so hopefully they will not pop out of the ground.

lilolpeapicker, I just deadheaded most of the peony blossoms yesterday. Ours were late, then they blew out in a short time. All that anticipation, but not much joy from them this year.

Bunny rabbit. As I was coming back to the house, I took the garden/golf cart for a spin down the road βto charge the batteryβ. And the view of the sunset is better from where I turn around.
Anyway, first rabbit is on the road. He starts running and dives into the grass at the edge of the road. I keep going, and out he comes, then back in to the grass. He did this three times. Not a smart rabbit. Why donβt they just keep running away from what they perceive as a threat? I wonder if he knows about the Fox family.
